Tire question - is this normal, can i keep riding these???surf

I recently bought my first semi-expensive tires - Hutchinson Carbon Comps- and replaced the conti-1000 sports that, by the way, i never had a problem with. Anyway, i got the new tires on sale. After only about 200miles or even less, there are alot of small cracks on the sidewall just under the yellow stripe. They look like they would be from overinflation and the rubber stretching. They go all the way around the tires. I have really kept the tire pressure low, about 105 and under. The tires run good, can I keep running them? I cant really return them because i got them almost 2 months ago and they wont believe there are less than 200miles on them (have been riding the beater alot in the last 2 months).

Any tips -- thanks alot!

IME these tires are really, really, soft. Mine too, had some of these cracks as well and were quite prone to slices due to glass and other obstacles. I ran them at 120 PSI. While these are great tires in my opinion, I doubt you will get much over 1000 miles out of them. They are great for racing, but I would stick to the cheapies(conti 1000's and 2000's) for training.
LBS let me exchange mine...biknben

I had cracks on my Hutches where the two compounds come together. They went all the way around the tire. I showed them to my LBS and he gave me new ones.

I had some tires that I bought from last year but because I don't have a garage I had to leave my bike out side. Anyway, they got cracks in them to. I filled in the cracks with hot-glue gun stuff, but now they feel bumpy when I ride? Should I try to file off the part that sticks out or just leave it. These arent cheap tires either they cost almost 20 bucks apeice.

Ken. roads are really bad in the Spring from all those rich &^%&@^%'s throwing their Bud Lite bottles out the windows!!

THanks dudes

If you trying to say it's my fault --
well, the bike was stored inside and yes the roads here are good becuase i usually ride the beach path and river trails. Anyways the store said that there may be a problem with the tires and they will give me axial pros - no problemo
