there's a small ding about 5mm across near the head tube. pretty shallow one, probably from my latest crash. is this the end of my TCR? pleeeze tell me no.....
if it helps, I'm a very light rider (120 lbs)
NOPE........ !JohnG

Although these frames are close to coke cans in durability, I wouldn't even give this kind of issue a second thought.

One of my bikes is an 01 ONCE medium with Record C10. I'll probably replace it with a small 02 frame as I just can't get used to the longish (for me) tt. Want 12-13cm stem!! hahaha.

Ride on and grin all the way to the podium!

$600 for a race frame/fork/HS ..... wow, doesn't get much better than that.

I'm selling my medium on RBR so that I can move "down" to a small. This pup will break the 15# barriar if it kills me! hahaha.

I've ridden them all (and still love my CT1) but for the $ this ONCE frame is untouchable!!!! I've also put 150 mile days in on my medium ONCE with narry a problem. That's pretty remarkable considering I've had lower back surgury.

Where exactly is the ding? How did you get it? IME, when these bikes go, they usually fail by the head tube so I would be careful. If you hit something head on hard, I would prob. not ride the frame again.(but I am 180 lbs!) IME the forks are much stronger than the frame in a front end collision accident.

left side of the down tube, an inch away from the head tube. believed to have been damaged in an endo.

I don't think that I would ride it. About a month ago I saw one break at that exact location as well as the top tube as a result of a t bone in the sprint. The fork and front wheel were fine but the frame took the impact. The speed of the crash would have damaged or broken any make and model frame, but with a superlight aluminum frame, it is going to give somewhere. That is the price we pay for riding such a light frame.

There pretty durable frames. i had some chain suck grinders that looked to be about 1/2 way thru the wall of the chainstay, And numerous dings and dents. It still rides fine...
