I spoke to Tim recently, and the people that they used to have do their repairs are no longer in business.

Try Boure Cycle clothing, in Durango. Talk to Drew. I sent them some ripped shorts awhile back, and they did an excellent repair job, at a very reasonable price.

I inherited a sewing machine several years ago from a bunch of stuff left over after an estate sale, and since then I've done most simple alterations and fixes myself. Sewing stretchy material is tricky, but the kinds of things you need to do most are pretty simple to learn. Small rips and seam blowouts can be sewn by hand.
Might be germane here that I have a fairly low threshold of aesthetics...if it stays on and doesn't rub, I'm happy with it.
