Mmmmm. You should always beware of the bus hidding a pedestrian... It's like the car in the middle lane allowing you time to cross on your orange turning red, while the next lane's anxious driver jumps ahead on his anticipated turning green...

It still doesn't matter!Alexx

When you hit the pedestrian, it was an accident. Not having brakes may have caused you some legal grief, but you comitted a felony when you LEFT THE SCENE OF AN INJURIOUS ACCIDENT. After injuring a person in an accident, you are legally required to remain and offer assistance to the injured, if needed, and to remain until an officer makes a report of the accident. By leaving the scene, you are furtermore admitting malice of your actions. She's probably going to sue your a$$, too!

No one was injured. I think you might benefit from looking up malice in the dictionary. Sue my ass? It happened over six months ago. Good thing she doesn't know who I am. You seem like a real dork, alex.
And you are a selfish egotist with no empathy! (nm)Alexx

Ride the stripe?filtersweep

I'm still not convinced it is legal to "ride the stripe." If, however, you had been riding to the RIGHT of the bus, it would be a different story. Just curious, but what were you planning to do at an intersection if someone in your "lane" was turning left? They certainly wouldn't be looking for you.

Regardless, the decent thing to do would have been to wait until medical help arrived for the woman... regardless who was at fault.

Stop wasting your energies, point your bike towards the rolling countryside that is called Gladwynne or Villanova and find roads unencumbered by SEPTA, pedestrians, broken glass, etc.
