I use a Schrader to Presta adapter when airing my tires. Tuesday night, the presta valve screwed out with the adapter. I knew you could remove shcrader valves but had no idea that presta valves unscrewed (makes sense for assembly reasons). Anyway, I screwed the valve back in and everything was fine for the ride that night, but I think I am going to replace that tube just in case....

They are designed to do that. In fact, I often keep the nice brass ones and move then from tube to tube, as they are kinder to your pump adaptor rubbers. Just make sure that the rubber seal around the body is OK.
