Are G4's that much better than G3's?RTC

I'm sold on Sidi shoes and have found that for my narrow foot they are the best shoe. Are the Genius 4's that much better than the 3's? I have a pair of 3's that are slowly wearing out and can't decide if the 4's are worth the change?

Are there any features about the 4's that make it that much better of a shoe? Cost isn't an option with Euro sources.

... my take... some "refinements" are all that's detectable from a customer's POV (there may be other enhancements not visible to the nekkid eye).

The main difference seems to be hook and loop closure... on my G4, they come from in to out... which is a tad more ergo to me than the G3 out to in. There are some minor cosmetic changes and the heel cup seems a bit firmer in the G4. Alas, Sidi does not make the Energy in my size so I can't compare on contrast there.

The point will eventually become mute as G3s dry up (probably around the time G5s hit the market) but I suspect that you simply want a new pair of shoes... admit it.

I wear a "B" width, and the new G4's are available in a "slim" size. I have a heck of a time finding shoes narrow enough to fit, and these are a terrific fit. First shoe I've had in many years that I don't have to distort to get it narrow enough to fit.

The narrow shoes are based on a B/C width. The standard shoes are based on a D width. The Mega shoes are based on a EE width. But, the narrow model was only introduced this year on the G4, it is not available on the G3.

The US did not have a G3 narrow model. The first narrow model available here is the G4.

and I think they are incredible. Try a pair of these out, if you can. Euro sources offer these for about $15 more. Not a bad deal.
