Does anyone know approximately how much mileage you can do on a set of rollers?

|Music makes it go better.
I usually start out slowly and work up longer times as the weeks go on. Maybe bumping it up 10% or so a week - just see how you feel. If you bump up more than that, take it easier the 1st session you bump it up. This last winter i started out at 15-20 minutes a session, 2 or 3 times a week, then built up to 60 minutes maximum with shorter times in between. I recommend a heart rate monitor. I had to get some time in the seat somehow while getting ready for a double century this june. Try listening to some R&R to help the time go quicker.

|I just got back from school and had rollers waiting for me at home, and since it's been non-stop rain these past couple of days, I figured I'd give them a try. I got used to them pretty quick, and I've been going anywhere between half an hour to an hour on them. Listening to music, or setting up in front of the TV definitely helps the time go by.|

|I have been watching the Giro on mine. 1 hour is about all I can stand. My butt cant take any more than 1 hour without a break.|

|for a little while but then I ussually crash.
I started using rollers last winter and could never get past an hour. This was because of motivational and comfort issues. I can't imagine going for too long because I tended to get board and lose consent...ra....
anyway, I did learn to ride with out hands.

|I find myself so bored that I want to kill myself. As that seems wrong (not to mention a counter-productive training technique), I get off the rollers.
I really enjoy the first 15 minutes or so. Up to a half an hour it's fine. Then it's just will power. Sometimes I'll do 45, but I don't think I've ever hit an hour.

|don't watch Star Wars while on the rollers, you will crash and it will hurt. I found myself moving on the bike just as those damn spaceships flew between the cliffs and down I went.|| |
