|I have a Flite TT now. I was thinking of trying this new San Marco saddle. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about it?

|I bought it for light weight on my racing bike. It's not very comfortable, compared to ERA and Concor lite saddles on my other bikes. I don't like the stitching on it. I can't wear some pairs of shorts with that saddle, because the seams on the shorts coincide with the stitching - and blisters start forming. Other pairs of shorts are OK, though, and fortunately my team shorts aren't a problem. |
The saddle is bearable for 40 or 50 miles, fine for a crit or shorter r/r, but I sure wouldn't want to ride it on a century. I bought it in the hope that it would be like the ERA, only lighter. It's lighter, but that's all. I've heard good things about the Selle Italia SLR, and I'm thinking about giving one a try although I've ridden Selle San Marco saddles almost exclusively for the last 18 years. I don't think I'm going to grow old(er) with that Aspide.
