|Other than the differences in the geometery - why would you select one over the other? Thanks in advance,

|Tuscany. I have had the Classic for 5 plus years and I will never part with it. However, the new Tuscany has a lot more "technology" as far as tube manipulation in it. If you want a great all around performer, the Classic is best as it is very comfortable. If you race, go for the Tuscany. A lot of people race Classics though.
I just got a Vortex which is awesome, but I am still more accustomed to the feel of my Classic. Once I put more miles on the Vortex, I may think differently, but my Classic is like that old pair of slippers. Plus I got the highly polished Classic which is more unique and has held up well.
So if you are into century rides and need comfort, go for the Classic but if you race, go for the Tuscany. Both can be had at very good deals if you shop around. I got my 2002 Vortex for only $900 more than what I paid for the Classic 6 years ago which is about $1200 less than the MSRP. (Full Dura Ace btw).
Litespeed has said to me that the Tuscany is 90% of the performance of the Vortex. If that means anything to you and they often steer people away from their higher end bikes if they feel a person can benefit from one lower on the line to save some $.

|I'd take the Classic for the slighly longer c-stays and the ability to use whatever headset you want.|| |
