|I used to love this guy with all his Italian bravado- he was brilliant on l'Alpe. Once he stopped taking Epo, the only thing that was fast was his mouth. Put up or shut up Marco.|

|Sorry folks. Haven't had a lot to say lately, or time to say it, because ... I've been back at work! |
Doctor cleared me on May 2, and I've been nose-to-the-grindstoning it since. Feels great. I've been so dedicated that I haven't even looked at RBR once in the last week and a half. (OK, some of you might say that is a lack of dedication to the important things!)
Thanks again for all your thoughts and good wishes in this (latest) recovery period. Doc says the T-spine is 1/3 healed. Won't be cleared for road work until it's fully healed, probably another few months. I'm hoping to return to the road in time for the Savannah century Labor Day weekend. If not, then MS150 in October. In the meantime, bought a new 1up trainer and will pound away inside on the Serotta.
Weiwentg, hope you're doing OK, too. Recovery sucks.
I actually got online today to read the post-Giro reports. My Italian namesake may be washed up (by the way, what's with the mustache? Does EPO cause increased facial hair?) but the other Italian warhorse is awesome, even if he looks more like a zebra (or, yesterday, a tiger). I am deciding whether or not to trump my pink Mercatone kit and go all-out nuts and buy an Acqua e Sapone kit. I should, then post a photo of both it would cause the you're-a-poser crowd's heads to explode.
Anyway, gang, I'm back. Maybe not as often as over the last four months, but enough to make a nuisance of myself.
