Looks like Lance will have to find someone else to keep up with him this year.
Does Lance ever find anyone to keep up with him?PODIUMBOUNDdotCA

He's a machine! Thats what happens when you do everything as near perfect as possible! We can all learn a lot from him.

Lance is amazing! Hencappie is coming into his own.

Without Ullrich, Hencappie may have to work differently with Lance. Could be interesting...

Although, any tour suffers when such a strong rider pulls out.

The rabid Ullrich fans must be cryin' in their warm beer.

i think Lance is gonna have a gut-check.dustin73

since no one is there to push him. i mean really, Jan and Lance were almost in another league. they pushed eachother. but now that Jan is gone, what's gonna be the driving force in Lance to push himself over the limit? i can see Lance losing just as easily as i can see him getting first.

Probably unlikely, but in the world of what if ...

What if Ullrich was playing a mental game of cat and mouse, announcing a drop out almost two full months before the start of the Tour in an attempt to disrupt Lance's training and mental state. Maybe he gets lax because there's no Ullrich. And then suddenly, when the final team members are announced, Ullrich has suddenly recovered and is there to start on-form! I know it won't happen, but if it did, what theatre that would be. For what it's worth, my podium:

1. Lance. 2. Sevilla 3. Leipheimer (with something to prove)
That's what I'm thinking, unless...spyderman

Postal changes strategy, have Hencappie ride to win. Sort of replace Jan if possible. Finish one, two... Could be interesting.

Then again, we could be wrong and The Machine could very well blow away the field and prove he doesn't really need Jan...

Does this guy ever face any easy challenges?
