The Giro starts Sat. and I humbly request that we refrain from posting results in message headers. If you feel the need to brag about your guy please do so in the body of the post.

Many of us work and like to watch the re-broadcast in the evening and "pretend" it's live. Last year I found out about Lance's big move on this board. I still enjoyed it but not nearly as much as if it had been a suprise, as it was to the rest of the race field.

"It's the most wonderul time of the year." Especially if you love cycling.
I agree. Guys, don't post results in the heading. Please?Sintesi

Oh come ON...EJC
May 10, 2002 5:58 AM the risk of gettting blasted here by taking an unpopular sttance...GIVE ME A FRIGGIN' BREAK!!!

Howzabout we don't post the news about the latest suicide bomber in Israel or the latest retard with a copy of the "Anarchists Cookbook" and some glue who blows up point? News happens, people talk about it...just because you happen to live in a time zone away from Italy/France/Spain etc...doesn't mean others aren't going to enjoy some bantor and repartee' (spl?)

come on, stop trying to bury the heads in the sand and just ENJOY!!! If results get posted it is POST-STAGE meaning it has become history and NEWS...let's TALK about it NOW while it is fresh, and not in three weeks when some random Yank station decides to broadcast it!

EJC - putting on flame-retardant suit now...
I won't flame yougrandemamou

I didn't mean to suggest that it not be discussed, only that people not "post results" in the message header. Feel free to do as you wish.
No ban on discussing,TJeanloz

It is just common courtesy to have a header like:

"What an amazing finish at today's Giro!!"

Instead of:

"Stage 2 recap: Cipo' gets them at the line!!"

By all means, it should be discussed, but it seems reasonable to keep results out of the headers...
