Go by the NJ Dept of Transportation and get county maps showing all the secondary roads. Then pick a route, and go anywhere you want. As I recall, southern NJ is flat as a pancake, with lots of roads off the beaten track. Carry the map with you and you'll never get lost.

The other benefit to South Jersey is that there are few side streets or at least these are easily distinguishable from the main county roads. From OC cross one of the bridges west go until you get to Delaware Bay, turn South, when you get to Cape May come north again along the water. The roads are great with wide shoulders. Beware the turn to the SW though, enjoy the headwinds. has some good route info.
Head South my friend...biknben

...The other poster is correct about it being flat. The biggest hill you'll find is a bridge.

I'd recommend just riding up and down the coast. The North/South road through Ocean City will take you to Cape May to the South. Not sure if you want to go North to AC. Atlantic City roads may be iffy.

You can also head West. I would avoid Rt. 52. It's the main artery into town and the bridge may not be suitable for bikes. At the South end of town is Roosevelt Ave. That is probably a better choice if heading West.

Use all this as reference only. I have not ridden in Ocean City specifically. I have riden in Wildwood and Cape May and would recommend heading in that direction.
