European Union will start taxing Internet sales?Dave Hickey

I heard a news blurb on the drive in today, that the European Union has voted to start taxing internet sales. Has anyone else heard or read the same thing? That could have a big effect on purchasing frames and components overseas.

haven't heard it mentioned here - do you have a source?

Ever seen a socialist that did not like a tax?
Digital stuff is just more obvious. I'm sure they will get to all of the other things in life sooner or later.

EU??? Ohio (among other states) wants you to report ALL online and catalog sales so's they can take their cut when you file your state return!!!

Funny, but when new markets are formed, there's always a politician out there close behind looking to cash in.

I'd hope that overseas vendors have a strong lobby... not having to pay VAT is what makes many Euro purhases worthwhile (in what is supposed to be a global economy).

We abide.
