|My Caad 4 is in desperate need of a new wheelset. (bad hop in rear and ding in the front.)
My Caad 4 is spec'd with Shimano.
I am going to get a new frame/group before the year is over. I want this new bike to be equipped with Campy.
Here is my question. If I get a high end wheelset for my shimano eqipped bike right now, will I be able to use it on a Campy equipped bike that I get later in the year? Specifically, I am looking at the Ksyriums.

|I did the same thing. You cannot convert the Ksyrium freehub without changing the entire hub. That's expensive. The adapter cassettes are heavy and I didn't like their shifting.
Zipp hubs are supposedly changeable, but I've not tried.
I'd wait and get the right wheelset for the components. You could buy the front wheel now, which of course is bi.

|...and save the money for the new bike. You can get cheap pre-built wheels from Nashbar. Check the close-outs. Granted, they aren't the snappiest wheels out there, but they are cheap. And round.
Or you could bite the bullet and rebuild the dinged wheels with new rims. If you can do it yourself, you will save a boat load of cash.
