A BILL FOR CUSTOM FROM DHL?bear

I just got a bill from DHL for custom duties? Is this something new? I got something from a spaniar web page!Why are they collecting for duties,,enybody had seminar situtation?

This seems to be pretty typical from what I can tell. DHL will pay the duty, I guess so things don't held up in customs, and send you the bill after shipping. I've run into this a couple of times now. Just a bought a pair of AT ski boots from France earlier this year and the same thing happened - got a bill from DHL after receiving shipment (DHL prepaid duty on my behalf).

I've been in the international airfreight business for 20+years and DHL is actually doing you a favor by prepaying the duties. Not all companies will.
