Merlin vs. Reynolds Fork(3 posts)

Merlin vs. Reynolds ForkCKS
May 6, 2002 1:16 PM
So I've decided to get a Merlin (agilis), and am not sure which fork to get: my choices are the Merlin carbon fork, or the Reynolds Ouzo Pro fork. Does anyone have an opinion? I'm 145lbs, but ride pretty hard and race occasionally.

From my experience I can recommend the Ouzo Pro. I used one last year and found it to be very responsive and stiff. My previous carbon fork experiences were with Time and EVO (Marinoni). I just built a new Merlin XL and I did not hesitate to put another Ouzo Pro on it. I would have liked to put on the Ouzo Pro "integrated" fork, but finding one was proving impossible.

I have no experience with the Merlin fork. I wonder who is making them? I would guess ACD.

I am currently riding a Merlin XL with a Reynolds Ouzo Pro fork and it is great. I have no complaints. I don't think you can go wrong with the Reynolds fork.
