IMHO, track bikes are the best looking bicycles. They have such a simple, straightforward design.

SUEDE handle bar wraps?Me Dot Org

I must admit this is a new, albeit seductive idea for me. Suede handle bar wraps? Anyone out there ever done this?

I had a chocolate brown Schwinn Continental and I put tan suede handlebar wrap on it. Smooth. This was the era of the cloth or plastic wrap. Suede was top of the line baby, almost impracticle because of dirt and tearing it up in day to day use.

... you knew I would! And another of Steve's bikes is the J. C. Higgins, very similar to my wife's Higgins, except her's is about 18 years younger.

Lots to lust after there. The early Wastyn chrome Paramount is a real treasure. Someone has an all-chrome Paramount of more recent vintage on e-bay at the moment, probably would fit me, not exactly the one I want, but tempting.
