Has anyone used these pedal adapters for street shoes on SPD pedals? I see them in catalogs and on websites but can't get a good look at them. Are they just plastic? Do they eventually wear out?

i clip them in when my wife uses my clipless-only bike (she's uncomfortable with clipless). Yes, theyre simply plastic; but theyre not going to wear out anytime soon (no faster than (say) a plastic pedal).

another option which i prefer, is the 'campus' style pedal (shimamo style 353 or 535 or something). SPD clip on one side, platform on the other. Best invention since sliced bread, imo.
pd-m323 is the pedal you're talking about nmrobbz27
