When changing to Speedplay pedal (from ICON pedals on a Trek 5200)... I read you might need to change seat height because of the difference in the cleat design. Do you need to lower or raise the seat to compensate?

I'm not trying to be a smart a55, but shouldn't you lower or raise your seat height based on comfort/efficiency?

good point ... don't disagree. I'm trying to match my "comfort zone" from my old cleat design.
Very Slightly Lower. (nm)Gregory Taylor

Leave one of the old pedals on and old cleat on one shoe. Mount Speedplay on the other side and on the other shoe. Clip in both shoes (without you in them) and measure the distance from the center of the pedal's axle to the shoe on both systems. Figure out the difference and lower (most likely) or raise the saddle by the derived amount.........
Hope you love your Speedplays, love mine.
