Apr 28, 2002 3:01 AM | | Some of you may recall my post a couple a weeks back regarding what cycling specific stuff to buy in Spain that you can't get here. Well, I'm back, and your advice was correct. I saw very little there that's not on the shelves for about the same money at my local REI.
There was one exception. "GORE BIKE WEAR"
I've never seen this brand in the states. It's cool factor is probably very specific to me. This is no handle I'm using to post, it's my name. I would love to have a complete bike gear ensemble with "GORE BIKE WEAR" proudly displayed on jersey, shorts, socks, the works....
The Barcelona bike shop only had two pairs of socks,(none now). I've surfed around and found the complete line at a couple of German bike shops. Does anyone have a recommendation for how to buy "GORE BIKE WEAR" on-line for deilvery to the USA.

Does this shop offer any mail order?
Does it look like the kind of operation one could successfully purchase from for shipment to the USA?
From what I can discern it's a local bike shop asking you to stop in and buy, but could be mistaken, not being able to read the language.

I looked at the website, but it is actually Swedish (that explains the .se...), so I can't help you with that.
But there is another site you might want to look at:

It is a German store that also has an English website and they ship worldwide. They have a good selection of Gore stuff. I have had good experiences with them, but I live in Germany and cannot tell you anything about how they deal with customers from the US.
BTW, I have some Gore stuff myself and I really like it - good choice.
