Wheelsets: Ksyriums vs. American Classic bladed spokes w/Lone Gunman

Velocity Aerohead rims in colors.

I know that the Ksyriums are arguable one of the best all around wheelsets. Anyone have any experience with the AC's. Was checking out their site today and really had some great lookin wheels that are serviceable on the road. Can get spoke counts @ 28, 32, 36. How bullet proof they might be?

Opinions anyone? I may be in the market for a wheelset and want something like the AC's. Oh yea, price is competetive with K's.

a bit pricey though.. do they use HED or Lews rims?

with respect to AL wheels you can get cheaper from good builder, check this http://oddsandendos.safeshopper.com/2/cat2.htm?200

I have a set of Open Pro's with the American Classic hubs (Sapim spokes). The front micro hub isn't really durable. I ended up replacing it with a Dura Ace hub after about 800 miles. Yes I lubed it and, no I never rode in the rain, etc. Rear hub is fine, and fairly light but requires frequent greasing to keep it quiet and I have since replaced the bearings with supposedly better quality ones. FWIW, if I had it to do over again I would have used Dura Ace hubs all around. I bought a new set of the 2001 K's on ebay for $450 shipped about 6 months ago and really like them - no problems so far, hubs are super smooth and they "feel" faster than the other wheelset. I think the American Classic carbon wheels use Zipp rims. I'm 5'11" and weigh 185.
