A reason to envy me today...cory

As a few of you know, I'm a newspaper columnist. Back when it looked like Brooks was going out of business, I did a short piece, Grant Petersen-style, about the sad demise of a handcrafted leather-and-copper institution. Not much comment from the readers, and I forgot it.
That was, what, a year ago? Yesterday I came back from lunch and there was a honey-brown, barely-used B-17 on my desk with a note that said, "Please adopt this saddle. It needs a good home." No signature, no hint who it was from, no nothing. And while we normally return gifts, since I don't know where this came from, I get to keep it.

you wrote about a dumb saddle when you could have written about a frame!!! what about the sad demise of a handcrafted carbon fiber frame institution? So what if Colnago isn't really going out of business.... :)
