I got a package in the mail today. Veltec sports (Satan).JaJa's face on the front of it. Full Look 2002 catalogue. I'm in heavy lust. The KX keeps calling to me.... I have to keep repeating a line from Sheryl Crow's new song -"It's not knowing what you want it's liking what you got." I have to go home and burn that evil piece of paper!!
The KX is beautiful...eschelon

but the frame and fork is around 4.5 pounds...damn, that is heavy! I'm thinking about getting a carbon fiber rig next year.

Can anyone provide evidence on why I should get this bike over the other carbon fiber bikes...i.e. Trek, Kestrel, etc.
Creeping evil. I just went out and ordered a catalog.Sintesi

Shaved the legs. If I get a new bike for sure I'm a single man. (Although my wife does appreciate a "bargain".)

no it's not gonna fly I know. Women only understand it when they buy yet another "matching" pair of shoes.

honestly I get "upgradies" now and then, more likely if I ride less. Now I need to find a good deal on Muscle :-(
Or a new pocket book.look271

Wouldn't fly. Honestly, I am still quite happy with the kg271. I love to ride it. I'll just have to wait 'till I get bored with it/crash/it breaks or whatever. Sigh........
But shoes--she might understand another pair of shoes. Maybe?djg

They have northwave evolutions (which I'm riding now) for 75 bucks.

I may get the Northwave winter shoes, though. Can't have too many bib-tights, either!

to go shopping with her and when she eyes new pair she "absolutely" needs she usually starts with: "I donno, maybe I don't what do you think honey?" I always tell that "this is once in a lifetime" "it is deff you" "you must get it" "I wanna see you happy" and etc etc etc kinda things.

And when she grabs and rushes to pay for it probably thinking "how dumb men are" I tell her "btw hunny, I just got new frame". If delivered at precise moment works like a charm. The only draw back is that she will always remind you later about "that #$%@sive toy you bought". Don't you dare to talk about her shoes, ignore and change the subject.
Arggh--I take it back.djg

They have the shoes, but not the cleat "adapters." Folks familiar with NW Evos know that the cleat adapter is, basically, the whole darn carbon sole of the shoe. Checked a few web sites and I couldn't find anybody who sold them separately.

Which look frame would be stiffer 381 or kx?
Lee, from world cup, doesn't want to sell me a look bike because he says I would break it, plus it would ride like a wet noodle for me.

I'm 170 to 175 pounds. His brother Dave has one, and so does Rod Myers. Don't understand the reason why look carbon wouldn't hold up for me.

I think he just wants to sell me the Merlin bike thats all.

Thanks,

Emory for Mechanicsburg

I don't know what Lee is talking about, either. My kg271 is plenty stiff and the kx or the 381i would be even stiffer. Dave is a big dude, and he loves his. I ride with these guys. (Rabbit, too.) Ok, now for a refrain of "it's a small world"!I'd guess that the KX would be the stiffest. I'm 185 and I don't feel that the 271 is flexy. See you on the road!
I'm Mark from New Cumberland.
thanks Mark. I'll tell Rabbit you said Hi (nm)pa rider

LOOK's are stiff. Actually, a bit harsh even, given how stiff they are.
