|I just saw your thread about dogs from a few days ago. That was a great idea. I have a 3 year old yellow Lab that might as well be named Shadow.
I remember a cover of Outside Magazine froma few years ago that showed a guy riding into the foothills (on MTB) with his dog trailing faithfully behind. I wish I could do that, but alas, there are no foothills in Chicago, and my fellow riders/runners/police are not big fans of my dog's zig-zagging, hap-hazzard, stop-wherever-she-wants-to-sniff-something-foul running style!
I have a question for you... have your dogs ever bitten you while you sleep for making them wear those sweaters?
Dogs and bikes rule!

|THE BIGGER OF THE TWO (ROBINHOOD) REALLY DOESN'T CARE FOR THE SWEATER, BUT THE SMALLER ONE (BELLA) SEEMS TO LIKE IT A LOT. SHE DOESN'T HAVE MUCH HAIR AND GETS COLD, AS EVIDENCED BY THE SHIVERING, IN THE WINTER. IF YOU TRY TO TAKE IT OFF, SHE'LL GROWL MIGHTILY. AS FOR THE SWEATERS, PERSONALLY, I THINK IT'S DOPEY, BUT ONE MUST GIVE IN TO THE WIFE OCCASIONALLY TO MAINTAIN DOMESTIC TRANQUILITY! BELLA IS THE WIFE'S DOG AND ROBIN IS MINE. HE LAYS IN THE BIKE ROOM WHEN I'M GONE ON A RIDE AND WON'T COME OUT UNTIL I GET HOME! WHAT A GUY!
HE WAS A JACK RUSSELL RESCUE DOG AND I WOULDN'T GIVE HIM UP FOR THE WORLD!

|They look like great dogs! I know what you mean about the waiting for you to retunr thing. Every time I come home, whether I've been gone for an hour or a week, she goes through the same spazzing, grunting-like-a-pig routine. But, then again, she does that for just about anyone - she loves everyone! When friends come over, she gets so excited they probably think we beat the dog when no one else is around.|| |
