Help?? De Rosa San Remo???extra

Does anyone know anything about a De Rosa San Remo??? I just bought one off a guy on this site. I'd really appreciate any info about these bikes. It's coming with Chorus components and is listed as "Brand New". To me, though, the components look like a group from a couple years ago. No big deal if they're in good condition, but I'm still a little skeptical about the seller. He isn't to savvy about communication with his buyer. Please check out the link to the ad and give me feedback....I ended up talking him to $1000. PLEASE let me know your opinions

I can't speak to the San Remo, but one of my bikes is a Neo Pro De Rosa. I don't think you will be disappointed. De Rosa in general is known for making nice bikes. I looked at the add for the bike and if the photo is recent i think you got a nice bike.

The condition is listed as "brand new." The bike itself is about 7-8 years old, I should think, with newer 9-speed Chorus components. De Rosa makes sweet bikes; Brain is nice steel. Sounds like a really nice bike.

Sounds like a nice ride to me. De Rosa doesn't make junk...in fact, they are one of the top builders in my opinion. If the components are new as well as the frame, I would say you got a nice bargin.

PS: The seatpost has got to go though. A nice Campy post would look sweet - sorry, I have a seat post fetish going lately.
