I was thinking of purchasing a pair of Vittoria Tecno Pro Integra tires and was wondering if anyone out there has ridden these before. I didn't see any reviews for this tire as of yet and don't know if it's new tire for '02.

I'm interested to know how it handles and its durability. I've been running Spinskins beneath a set of Conti Ultra 3000s. The Spinskins are beginning to fray and I would rather purchase a more durable tire and go without a liner.

Thanks for your help.

I've got a few rides on some Rubino's though, with no problems whatsoever. I ride in central PA, which tends to get lots of broken glass, thanks to home games.
What about something like the Conti Ultra Gatorskin? They've gotten some good reviews here. How's the tread area on the 3000's? Any gashes or cuts?
If not, you could probably run whatever, with good results. In my limited experience, running Mr. Tuffy's, the tire itself still suffers from whatever you run over, but the tube is protected.

I had a set that came on my bike about 2 years ago. They didn't last very long, something like 1200 miles, and I remember thinking then that I had waited too long to swap them out. As far as the F word goes, I had about a half-dozen on that set. Also, the ride seemed a little harsh.

On the plus side, they looked good and handled pretty well.

I don't think that if durability is an issue that they are a particularily good choice, but others may have had a different experience.

I have also heard good things about the Gatorskins.

I've got about 2200 miles on the Conti Ultra 3000s. I've only had one puncture flat, but then again, I've been using Spinskins. I got the flat before I got the tire liner. In terms of cuts, there are several rather large cuts in both the front and rear. But overall, the Ultra 3000s have been performed pretty well.

I just thought I'd try something new.
