Integrated shifting cable slack Q?(2 posts)

Integrated shifting cable slack Q?king or norway

I've finally switched from down tube shifters to integrated shifting. After the initial 150 miles I have cable slack that needs to be adjusted . Whats the best way? turn knobs on the downtube, screws on the rear derailleur, and what directions for tightening and lossening? Its a campy rear.
I like to start with the rear derailleur, because...floatch

you can't reach that adjustment while riding. Using the downtube adjusters, you can reach down and further adjust while riding. Spinning the barrel adjuster out tensions the cable (lefty-loosey, righty-tighty.)
Actually, the best way is to re-attatch the cable, so you can play with the barrel adjusters as you ride.
