Always blind? My Cocker is now totally deaf. It somehow makes him more appealing.

blind since two. she's now five. I'm a seeing eye person. While I wouldn't say it's more appealing to have an impared dog it can be very interesting and funny at times.

This is my dog Rei-me. Her bloodlines originate from
W. Germany, and Slovakia. She doesn't know a word of English. She loves to chew Continental Grand Prixs, can't stand Michelins. I can't blame her.

One dog, a male Greyhound/Samoyed mix, almost 2 years old. He's fantastic. To most people, he looks like a white German Shepherd. Then they see how fast he can run. When we take him to the dog parks, only the purebred sighthounds are faster.

They truly are a demanding breed.
Got 2/y.o Dover as a pup when my wife's rescued deaf dal was hit and killed. Rescued 6/y.o Dotty, believe it or not, from the neighbors who kept her out year round. Dals don't get the usual fat and winter coat as other dogs do and the wife had the 'nads (yup, women have um too) to approch them, 10 months later, they came around...She's so happy now. Arthritis kept her from even climbing onto the couch (wife makes the "rules"), by 6 months later, the best food and glucosamine every night; what a transformation.

sorry, no pics yet...

Sierra (the one who looks like a Gateway box) has had her motherly instincts kicked into high gear since the baby was born. She is very protective of him and will actually run Malley off. Of course, these are times when Sierra is not sleeping. Malley has not really made up her mind just yet. When we put Sean on the floor, Malley will try to play with him a bit, but since he does not really respond she gets bored and goes away. Here is a recent picture of Sierra being the "protector." If you want to see more pics detailing Stacey's pregnancy and Sean's develoment post-birth, then go to

Two--a toy poodle who's about 22 (human) years old; poodles live a long time, named Helen, we found her when driving around Mt. St. Helens, and a Chihuahua-small terrier mutt named Annie who's also a rescued dog, from our local pound. We tried a trailer with Helen behind our tandem and she went nuts, was too anxious when seeing Mom close by but not close enough. Too bad I didn't have my big Kirtland handlebar bag anymore!

1 shepard/heeler mix, frighteningly smart; can open doors from the inside and out. At least he can let himself (and the other dog) out! Both adopted strays.

Baron (as in Manfred von Richthofen)- Aka Boobie, 3 years old, was pure black but developed some brown and silver, busted floppy year, the coolest 110lb lap dog ever born.

My wife use to have a pure white German shepherd when she was around 10-years-old. Her dad said the dog was absolutely gorgeous, but probably the stupidest animal on earth. They came home one day and someone had stolen him from their backyard. One of my students has a pure white German shepherd and, according to her, is a very intelligent animal.
Apr 18, 2002 10:21 AM
Boobie (Baron) was supposed to be all white, at least when we desided on a second Shepherd - kind of a Ying Yang thing. I only found 2 local breeders that had whites and both had pretty questionable breeding practices. We ran into an all black pup at the same breeder where we got the first one: An 8.5lb 7 week black fur ball. The rest is history.
Attached is a baby pic from about 9 weeks (now 3 years old and 110 lbs and as lovable as they come). If you can resist that you're not human...........
