Any riders in Dallas area?DT
Apr 14, 2002 4:58 PM
I'll be down there for business for three weeks sometime this summer and am looking for group rides to take part in. I'm probably a low-end CAT-3 level rider, maybe a high-end CAT-4...depends on how much riding I get in between now and then. Thanks!!

How are you either a low-end cat 3 or a high end cat 4? Are you possibly going to upgrade or something? Anyways, head over to www.txbra.org for all the info on texas cycling.

I put the Cat3/4 thing in there as a measuring stick. I rarely race because of my geographical location, so I don't have a license. If I had to guess, I'd guess high 4 or low 3...like I said, though, it depends on how much riding I'll do between now and then...I've only ridden 1/3 as much this year as I had by this time last year, but my schedule just opened up wide so I can now ride a lot more. I averaged 200 miles/month since january, but in the last 7 days I've done 200 miles. I'm happy!! :o)

Saturday morning leaves at 9:00 am from the Richardson Bike Mart at Coit & Campbell in Far North Dallas. North ride is around 65 miles; some Cat 3's and lots of Cat 4's. Average speed around 22-24 mph with lots of hammering in the mid-high 30's mph.
