Computer mount on aero bars...(4 posts)

Computer mount on aero bars...cydswipe

I just got my Profile AirStrykes today. I attached them. When I went to re-attach my computer, the mount is too small. The aero bars are less in diameter than my handlebars. Even with the mount all the way tightened it flips around all over the place. It's a wireless computer so wires are not an issue. I'm contemplating just using a couple layers of handlebar wrap in the location I want to attach the computer. Am I overlooking a simple solution? Any other suggestions?

I believe that Profile also makes a computer mount to attach to their aerobars.... I was at the LBS this week and happened to notice one. It attaches to both bars of the Profile, and allows you to mount your computer in the center.

Syntace makes one, Excel has it for $5.95Tig

The picture doesn't do it justice, but it gives you a decent spot to mount a computer.

Even using a wireless computer, you still have to be aware of the distance to the sensor. It's common to find your computer head is mounted out of range of the sensor.
