Has anyone seen the 2002 CT1s? I have heard that they have moved from the clear coat finish they used in the past to a complete undercoat of silver paint. I have always liked the brushed Ti look more than the polished mirror-like look and am not certain what the silver paint looks like. Is the attached picture representative of the new frames?

Pictures would be great!

thanks

something a little more understated, better constructed, has a better warranty, and custom sized to you, not made in Taiwan, a better value for the money, shall I go on? How about something like this:

WAY Overpriced, bland (dull), Warrenty..... they probably need one since the frame design is so new.

Better constructed..... LOL!

Oh, did I say it was WAY-WAY-WAY overpriced?????

I guess you are right. Why pay $2600 for a well constructed frame made by a true engineer when you can pay the same amount for a glued up frame made with pre manufactured parts (lugs and tubes) that only costs $300 to make and paint but $1200 to market. Everyone who makes high quality products offers a decent warranty, as they have nothing to lose by offering it. It's when companies offer minimal warranties that I start to worry about their product. After all what are they trying to protect themselves from? As far as paint, what could be nicer than plain carbon fiber? A well made carbon fiber bike should never be painted, IMO, as it shows off the high qaulity of the material and high quality of the workmanship. Oh, I forgot, you want a Colnago. Let me be honest, I think that C40's are decent bikes (I used to have one as I raced on a team where we had them issued to us) but there are better bikes for the money. Much better bikes. There is no way that you can logically argue that the C40 is a better built bike or that is overpriced compared to a C40. The only part that you can argue for the C40 is your passion for Colnagos. For some people it's Ferraris, for you it's Colnago. And that's the one part that I can understand.
you're wrong on all countsJohnG

"The part that I don't understand" ... is your assumption about what I like.

So are those images (which is where I got the pic of the CT1 I posted) the 2002 colors or the 2001 colors?

thanks

Can't exactly tell from the pic you have.

I've seen the frame you posted in IMHO the painted frames are a bit more "interesting" looking. But "to each his own" right. :)
