Guess it's safe to assume you won't be doing the 3mtn/3state challenge? Hope your knee gets well, soon. I'll be staying @ my friends mother-in-law's 2 miles from the start. =) Arriving Thurs, so if there are any other riders out there who will be there Fri, maybe we can do a short (20 mile) ride on Friday as a warm up? e-mail me @ look271@netzero.net if interested. Cio for now!

depends on how the knee goes this week. it's healing up as expected, gone from a pain to a "niggle" when i walk. there are still three weeks to go...and i was in PT for two weeks and things got all better! :o)

if i do make it, i'll be there on friday morning. i'm planning to ride a short one also on friday afternoon, starting 20 minutes from the base of lookout mountain, climbing burkhalter gap, crossing the mountain and descending the twisty side into chattanooga. should be ~25 miles. interested?

ps. pasta dinner at the mariott that night should be followed immediately by consumption of mass quantities (the micro-brew kind).

I will be riding early Friday morning and eating my pasta for lunch, BUT, a beer or two that evening sounds good to me. Were are you folks going to be? Big River?

How's the training going?

BTW, I rode the metric course yesterday and the section passing the mill is a gravel/pot-hole hell; much worse than usual.

Also, according to the Chattanooga bike club web site, the start/finish has been moved to Cricket Pavilion. This is roughly 10 minutes ride from last years start near the Sport Barn. Making the start of Suck Creek Mtn. at 30-35 minutes or so, instead of 20-25.

Trainings going well, I think. Did my 4 hill route today that kicks my butt. Finished in the rain. (Johaan M. inspired me-I just needed cobbles =) ) I'm not sure the location of my friend's mother-in-law's place. he said it's 2 miles from the star. However, I'm not sure that he knows that they moved the star. Won't be hitting the brewskies Fri night-I'll wait 'till after the ride for that. Maybe you could join JS and me on our Friday warmup ride?

driving in starting around 7AM (if i'm driving) puts me there between 11 and noon friday, meaning i won't be on the bike 'til betwixt then and 1PM...it's a 4-hour drive, at best, provided light traffic and zero policing. i don't need any prep time to ride, aside from a semi-clean bathroom to change clothes.
