|Fourscore and seven centuries ago our RBR brethren brought forth on this board a forum, conceived in open conversation and dedicated to the proposition that all posts are created equal. |
We are now engaged in a great debate, testing whether that forum or any forum so conceived and so dedicated can long endure SPAM and Trolls. We are met on a great crossroads of that debate. We have come to dedicate ourselves to a higher standard. It is altogether fitting and proper that those who post on this board will not Troll and will not SPAM.
But in a larger sense, we cannot tolerate, we cannot accept, we cannot condone this behavior. Alas, the world will little note nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget this cycling community.
...It is for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us--that we take great pleasure in the knowledge, wit and friendly banter on this board--and that we here highly resolve that SPAMMERS and TROLLERS shall be forever driven from this board.

|is to ignore them.
Deny them the attention & reactions that they seek & they will go elsewhere for thier nourishment.

|What problem? Trollman was the most entertaining poster on this board. It got a lot more boring around here when he was "outed".
As for all this Spokes business - it feels perverse, and I don't know what it's all about, but I find it interesting. My hunch is that Radical Ron is an anti-Spokes activist. Who knows why. His hard sell is too ridiculous, he knows what pisses off people on this board and he's pressing every button.
My 2 cents.

|Lincoln's Gettysburg Address & jiving the Trolls & Spamers. I guess I should have made that clear. ;>) |
btw, I feel that Mr. RRP really is a Spokes supporter but the rationale behind his logic escapes me entirely.

|Oaths and pledges don't work. The easiest way is to just ignore them. They just want attention and if no one bites, they fad away.|| |
