Are 700x18 tires in production? If so, who sells them via the web? Do they require a special rim?

Hard to find in US..but Conti still makes them..order them out of UK/Europe.

i find even 20's a pretty harsh ride on a stiff wheel and definitely more flat prone than 22 or 23's. have you ridden 20's and like them? it would be hard to convince me that 18's would give you a noticeable increase in rolling resistance that would make the negatives of such tires worth it.

I used Conti 18's many years ago. They ride is harsh and if you don't keep them topped off with air you end up with alot of pinch flats.

I have some Veloflex Record 700x18 tires. Didnt really like them that much, they seemed very sketchy in very hard corners, they are extremely light (130g) And very expensive, unless you get them from where i did:

I have problems with 700X23!!!!! Never mind the 700X18
