I've just spent the big bucks on a new Giro helmet and don't want to stick one of those Reflex Mirrors to it, like I did my old helmet. I'd like to buy a Third Eye eyeglass mirror- one of those that clip on to sunglasses and would like to know how well they work from those who may have use-tried one

In my opinion the plastic third eye mirrors are junk. Their arm is too short, I ended up really straining my eye muscles just to look to the side that sharply. The mirror I use and recommend is the "Take-a-Look" mirror. It's a little heavier than the 3rd eye but is light years better. I believe you can get them through the Colorado Cyclist or you can buy them direct through the dealer (do an internet search). Rivendell also sells mirrors that look to have a good design but I've never used one so I can't comment. Mirrors have a certain "fred quotient" but I would NEVER ride without one.
ditto on Take a Look - they work great! nmRideLots
