Hi,

I have a wheel with a damaged rim open pro. Can I replace it by a CXP-33 without having to replace all the spokes, or do I have to replace it by an open pro as well ?

Thanks !

You can replace the Open Pro with a CXP 33 rim having the same number of spoke holes. I don't know if you can use the same spokes, the spoke length may be different. You can calculate spoke lengths at the DT Swiss web site.

I went through this problem myself recently, different rims, but you need to replace the spokes and the nipples, the old ones have been stressed due to the tension and should not be used with a new rim. Not that expensive anyway..the CXP-33 will work fine..
You can almost never replace just one part of a bike.Spoke Wrench

Look at the profiles of the two rims that you mentioned. The CXP-33 has a much more pronounced "aero" shape than the Open Pro. It's obviously going to require shorter spokes. Acceptable spoke length tolerence is only about +- 1mm.
