Temporary gearing modification for Campy(1 post)

Temporary gearing modification for CampyRSB
Apr 3, 2002 1:00 PM
I'm trying to get ready for the upcoming Death Ride (130 miles and 16000 feet of climbing) and want to find a way to lower the gearing on my road bike. I have a Campy Record setup with a 13-26 cogset. I would like to run a 28 tooth low gear.
Does anyone know if I can just replace the last two gears in the cogset and not tear anything up. Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
