OK, forget the cheap hook.

But what is it with 1up trainers? I have read every post in the reviews and there isn't that much unanimity about two being the best number of wheels for a bike. I can almost hear the screams from satisfied users, screams that rival those I heard in our family room from my older sister and her friends when the Beatles debuted on the Ed Sulllivan Show. (We had the only color TV on the block and everyone came to our house; never mind that the show was still being broadcast in B&W.)

Just from the looks of them, it seems as if the 1ups are made with Erector Sets.

1up users: Describe its differences vs. fluid and magnets. And what makes this product so worthy of rock-star loyalty? (Four paragraphs and he finally gets to the point.)

FWIW,
Mike

Not a lot of experience with trainers...but since nobody else responded yet I thought I would.

Recently BORROWED a 1up trainer from a friend, have used it twice. This is the ONLY trainer I have ever used.

My opinion: Works well, sturdy, provides adequate resistance. Nicely made piece. I used it with an "extreme" (9 outta 10) level Spinervals tape, so I was working pretty hard both standing and sitting while using it. Thinking of buying one, dispite not having test ridden other trainers...I mean it sure seems like it worked well to me.
