to try to F&*ck LA's life up. It sucks that they found nada on him for banned substance usage, so they sent the tax authorities after him. I have always hated the french, and they continue to give me no reason to change my mind.

You all know I'm not a huge fan of LA, but I do not support the way he is treated by the press. He is an intelligent individual, and he stands up to the press with an iron fist.

I liked his quote about riding Flanders vs. Paris-Roubaix. It does seem as though PR is becoming a specialist event, often dominated by the same teams (Mapei in particular), whereas Flanders draws a more even selection of teams and riders. I respect LA for riding in Flanders, and I hope he does ride the Giro before he retires.

Don't let a few aholes shape your opinion on an entire nation. To say you hate the french is just plain stupid. I agree with you about how they are trying to nail Lance, but there is plenty of french people that love him. My grandmother (who is french) who has been following the tour for her entire life (in her 80's now) roots for him every year and she is not alone. If it weren't for the french Lance wouldn't have the greatest bike race in the world to win and we wouldn't be as excited about cycling every time July rolls around. Lighten up, just like every american is not a loud mouth obnoxious arrogant bastard, not every french person is an existentialist idiot that smokes cigarettes and cynically critices everyone.
