What do you guys use for forks with a carbon steer tube?

a special wedge, dont use the starnut, it'll cut up the inside and possibly break the fork...i had the starnut cut out when a yahoo mechanic installed it..

a compression plug should have come with the fork. else, they are available from the LBS, and should not cost much. there is no way in hell you can use a starnut on a CF fork as Ishmael said.
yep, the plug is much better than the star junk. -NMTig

My C'dale frame came with a factory installed star nut. They claim to have done extensive testing with a star nut and a specific plug/top cap. The star nut in conjuction with the plug is fine according to C'Dale.

I'm skeptical and if given the choice would have installed something other than a star nut. Unfortunately, it was already there when I got it. I'm keeping an eye on it.
