It's a gorgeous day and I'm just getting over a nasty head cold. But the real problem is that I'm injured as well and it's caused me to miss two races. I haven't touched the bike in a week and a half, but I'm very tempted to risk prolonging my recovery by taking a spin in the rare spring sunshine.
May I join the pity party?jtolleson

It is sunny and low 60s here, and windless. Yet my partner's parents are visiting, and thus I would not be permitted such an indulgence as a ride. The only way to escape the dread in-laws is coming to the office. Which is where I am, looking wistfully out the window.

PS -- and yes, we've already done both church and Easter brunch. *sigh*

Yesterday, the thermometer flirted with 70 here on Long Island and the breeze was light and soft. I spent the entire day laying on the sofa with a sinus infection that's pushing my eyeballs out the front of my head. I actually pouted in front of my wife and two little kids. There's only so many times you can read cycling magazines and replay the Le Tour Encore.
