What a great 36 hours!PaulCL

Get home from work Tuesday evening - Bicycling Mag is in the mailbox. AHHHH....20 minutes of reading. Wednesday early AM, 30 great miles before work. That's rare since its' been raining for weeks. Then last evening, both CycleSport AND Velonews are in my mailbox. No way I can finish those in one day. Then, to make the 36 hours complete, I'm skipping out of work early today to squeeze in a 40 miler. Sometimes, life IS good.

By the way, in the new CycleSport, Colnago is advertising their new frame: The Carbonissimo. wow. Beautiful. The ultimate poser frame. I want one...now, where can I buy a lottery ticket.....

last time i wrote "life is good" it was on a napkin after my rear road wheel taco'd and i'd walked back to the car, driven home, dropped it off and picked up the mtb. i then drove to the trailhead, rode for about 7 minutes, got stung by a bee, suddenly discovered the allergy, swole up like a ripe tomato, started breathing like sucking air through a straw, and 20 minutes later was in the ER with tubes running into my arms like a pincushion.

careful!
This too shall pass....Crankist

Before you know it the rain will start falling on your empty mailbox while you're pounding out 30 hours
per week of overtime.
Have Fun,
Mike
P.S. Your lottery tickets will not win a thing.
Seriously negative guysPaulCL

I know this will pass...but I'm gonna enjoy it while its' here! I know when it will end: 5pm this evening when my Mother-in-Law walks through my door for a 5 day visit. Its' a finite period of time.

I just thought a little counterpoint was in order! It is among my more sincere wishes that you enjoy the remainder of the day. And, on another more positive note, you can always bomb down a few martinis
by 5:00 and stay drunk for a week. Show your MIL that she was right all along.
Have Fun,
Mike
Great idea...stay drunk the whole weekendPaulCL

Piss her off so much that she'll never come back!

Actually, she's coming in a day early so that I can ride tomorrow morning. Not a bad MiL.

I was really disappointed in the lastest issue. Boring.....
I was in Canada last week and picked up a copy of Bicisport(sp?). Oh how I wish I read Italian. It would be great if they did an english version of that magazine.
The one bowel movement magazine ...pmf1

Glad I don't pay for it. It just shows up occassionally due to my Performance club membership.

BiciSport really is amazing. I get it every chance I can just for the pictures. They've got true bike pervert stuff like hub close-ups in it. Last time I was in Italy I got one from a streetside vendor. He sure had a funny look on his face when he realized that I couldn't speak Italian (I think he tried to start up a conversation about Pantani). I seriously considered subscribing for 2 years just to get the free jersey.
