Who knows anything about these frames. Has anybody here riden one. GVH has these in his collection and I'm trying to talk myself out of buying one.

Thanks

I just bought a Starlight from GVH. I am in the middle of putting it together as a climber. The experience of buying from Gary was very pleasant and he answered all of my questions (no matter how dumb or repetitive). The starlight is extremely stiff and should be great on Sierra roads. I'll post a picture when I'm done.

Own a 2000 Unica - no carbon rear end as per the 2002 version. Pretty stiff frame, not GT stiff but there are certainly more comfortable aluminium frames out there. For longer rides your wheel and tyre choice becomes significant. Good crit bike and acceptable for road racing.
Descends well and not too twitchy given compact frame (noting I own the XL size where the sloping top tube is less noticeable and the frame not too 'compact' in appearance).
Overall, a good allrounder but probably doesn't stand out in any one particular area. Good if you're after something a little different and want a good frame without spending too much cash.
I am in the same boat and comparing it to the Casati...wernma

I am going to purchase the Proxima, Unica, or the Casati Cometa. From what I hear the Cinelli's are great. Does anybody know anything about Casati?
