I have gone through many different ones and the Silca pumps seem to last the longest - and you can get replacement parts for them.

Ditto the silca. I have had my Pista for, let's see, around 8 years without a wimper. Well, as long as you throw some fresh grease on the plunger every coupla years and replace the little rubber washer in the chuck when it gets worn (2-3 years for me.)

Certainly won't knock Silca - but I have a Torelli, a little less expensive than Silca and will take many Silca replacement parts.

Got it from my LBS for $16 ($4 discount). Has a guage and so far has worked great. Its the same pump they use behind the counter in the shop. Has a presta/schrader valve on it.
