|I was hoping to get some feedback on my potential new bike. I am looking at getting a 2001 Bianchi XL Boron. It is a steel bike with Campy Daytona 10spd. I am also looking to add the Speedplay pedals and the Ergo Brain computer. Any feed back (Good or Bad) would be great!|

|I had a 2000 Bianchi Daytona, which is pretty close. I rode it about 6,000 miles before crashing and bending the frame :-(
If the frame fits your style of riding and physiology, it's very comfortable and lively. (I did the California Aids Ride last year with no problems). I notice they still use a 1" steerer, 1 1/8th is becoming more the standard. The only think I DIDN'T like was the saddle (a selle italia trimatic) which I replaced right away.
Speedplay pedals are great, especially if you have knee problems.
The Ergo provides more info than I use (I have a Cateye Enduro 2 - It's actually a mountain bike computer, but I like the tougher wiring harness). I'm sure there are some Ergo owners here that will give feedback.
Best of luck...

|Thanks for the reply! Do you have any saddle suggestions? I am a larger rider and I mainly train for fun and the annual MS charity rides. I may be doing a tri this year...did you ever try aero-bars?|| |
