|What's your favorite type of ride.
I'm doing between 100 and 200 miles a week, some long and steady, some short and hard and some light recovery. My most enjoyable ride is that long steady chatty (but sometimes hard) Sunday group run with a rewarding coffee at the end.
Racing aside, what's your fav type o'ride?

|For the first 82 days of 2002 I'm at 206.7 miles per week.
We've had GREAT weather this year and I'll likely continue at that mileage or higher. Goal is 11K miles total for the year.
My mileage is evenly split between weekday 20 mile hammerfests and longer more relaxed weekend rides. I love both types of rides and they really compliment each other quite well. The weekday rides are often blowouts so these really stress me quite a bit.
Would like to work up to an average of 15K feet of climbing per weekend...... I'm averaging about 8K feet per weekend right now.

|I'm at 90-120 (three rides) per week road and 25-30 mt. bike (two rides). Somewhere between 15-20k vertical per week. Not too serious, but leaves time to support the family, emotionally as well as financially!|

|Favorite rides are early weekend road group and dusk solo shots on my mt. bike up Mt. Diablo trails (my back yard).|

|It's called "waiting for baby" I have been on a holding pattern for about 3wks now of any day now. Right now I'm doing 100-150 mi a week. It's hard to get miles in when you can't go more than about 30 mi at a time. Last year at this time I was doing roughly twice that 2-250.|

|If you can keep this up, you will find that there will be weeks you ride over 300.|

|Miles can be kind of misleading, it depends on what type of riding. Keeping track of miles in the foothills can be discouraging as you do so much climbing. I go by hours, but I recently started keeping a log of both miles and hours.
When I lived in the S.F. bay area I was putting in 150 weeks, up here 150 miles is a lot of riding. But my plan is to shoot for 145-150 miles per week, about 12 hours of saddle time. MY favorite ride is during the hot spells during the summer and I go out early on a weekend morning to avoid the heat. There is very little traffic and the air can be cool in places.
It's still winter here, lots of rain. Hard to be consistant with regular miles, miles will fluctuate depending on the weather. Still snowing in some places of the country. Come back and ask this question in a couple of months, it's really not cycling season yet..

|... Almost all of that commuting. Would like to get in a few 150-mile weeks this spring. The most for a week is 220.
Fav type of ride, a nice century, on which I find a few riders my own slow speed, who don't mind being seen pacelining with a cruiser.

|Gotta admit you guys got me beat. I try to ride between 1.25 hours to 1.75 hours per day. This of course is dependent on the northeast weather and WORK(damn four letter word).|| |
