I have a confession to make....look271

It is my day off. I was planning on riding as of last night. Plannned to do a 30+ mile ride; lots of hills. As of now it is 25F, 20mph avg wind, gusts over 30mph. I really don't want to go out in that. The thought of another trainer session sickens me. Think I'll blow today off. Tomorrow promises better weather and a gruop ride of 40-50 miles. Think I'll just vegitate today...(the ride home commute last night was NASTY-THE BOYS ALMOST FROZE!!!!).

Trainer or rollers???

Used to have a trainer and found it quite boring. IMHO, rollers are a fair bit more "engaging".

Now get busy on the trainer!! ;)

Either get on your gear and go out in it or at least hop on the trainer for 30-60 minutes. You'll thank yourself afterwards. Or don't...but if I had to be excited every morning at 5am to ride the trainer it'd never get done. Sometimes you just gotta push yourself to do it. Or go cross country skiing or something. Nothing wrong with a rest day once in a while, just don't try and justify it because of the weather. What if tomorrow is cold?

I did a ride last night at 11:45pm. It was 26F and extremely windy. I thought what the heck, I am tough guy. It was pretty rough out there--almost blown off the bike. I rode for 45 minutes, maybe 14-15 miles in all but I still rock!
hey at least you rode! That's what counts (nm)ColnagoFE

Sometimes there is a safety consideration in riding in gusty cross winds. Getting blow into the path of traffic is a real hazard.

Some times taking a day off can really boost your strength and stamina for the next days ride. Enjoy a day off. Kick some a$$ tomorrow!

No ride, no trainer. I'll ride tomorrow. Don't care what the weather is, although it's supposed to be better, according to "the bug". (It's a cool little downloadable program that is FREE that gives you real time weather as long as you're online-great for DSL and other on all of the time connections http://www.weatherbug.com) I rode home last night @ 12 midnight and got blown all over the place. Just not worth it.

Easy to ignore, and if you want to, you can get a no-adds one for about $20 a year, I think. Really accurate weather, and alerts you to weather alerts, as well.
and a slew of stealth programs as well (nm)ColnagoFE

Got to sign up for Gator though. It is bad news. Never got any unwanted programs w/ weatherbug. I use ad-aware, too.
