I am going to be visiting Las Vegas in the near future. Does anyone know a place I can recent a decent road bike for a few days? I am coming from overseas and won't be able to bring a bike with me. Thanks in advance. Travis

Yes, Travis...
There is a high-end bike shop (can't remember name) out on West Charleston Blvd. They are in the local Las Vegas phone book. A friend of mine rented a Lemond from them for a week. When you get there be sure to ask about the Red Rock Canyon ride. It's a beautiful 13 mile loop out west of town. All the car traffic is one-way only and there is some moderate climbing from the valley up (perhaps 1500 ft 2000 ft? I'm guessing). But the deal is to ride from your hotel in town out the Red Rocks, do a couple of loops and then enjoy the slight downhill/downwind(usually) ride back to town... It's a blast!

So just look up the shop on West Charleston in the phone book.

Hope this helps.

There are at least two shops that rent road bikes. McGee's Ski & Bike (702/252-8077), and Escape the City Streets (702/838-6966).
