Suggestions for Cannondale fork upgrade???kushogun

I currently ride a 2000 Cannondale R1000 with the "slice" fork made by Time. It has the alloy steerer tube with a 43mm rake. I was looking to drop weight and increase some high frequency vibration dampening properties with a fork upgrade. I was very interested in the Look forks (HSC versions) but they are only avail. in 40 or 45mm rakes. Any negatives to this? I know the bike won't be optimized but will it be a noticeable difference? Of course the Ouzo Pro has been thrown into the mix. The Easton EC-90 fork has also entered the fray. Anyone with any experience upgrading Cannondale forks, please throw in your input. Note: 1-inch steering tube.
